About us

The Sholing Technology College in Southampton is a single sex secondary school. The Sholing Technology College has a long tradition of excellence. Our high expectations and our ‘outstanding care, guidance and support given to the students by the College’ (OFSTED) combine to give a high quality education.

We offer an innovative curriculum, where students are guided to follow an appropriate pathway which is challenging and exciting. Our specialist school status enables us to use new technologies to enhance achievement across the whole curriculum.

At this school students, parents and staff work together to ensure that young people are offered the best opportunities to find their talent and shine.

What are you doing for Shineweek?

At TSTC we have been approached by creative Partnerships to create a Shine media crew. The crew is made up of 5 year 9 students who will be studying GCSE Media Studies next year. The crew, their creative partnerships liason Erica Smith and their media teacher Miss Gale have been out and about in Southampton recording all the events that are being held to celebrate Shine Week. We have been in contact with a number of radio stations and newspapers who may be using our footage and stories. They have had an excellent opportunity and have enjoyed watching other people shine too.
