About us

Beauchamps High School is a highly successful 11-18 comprehensive school. In September 2003, the school achieved specialist status in Business and Enterprise. It has also been recognised as a High Performing Specialist School and has been awarded a second specialist status in Applied Learning (Vocational). In 2006, the school was judged to be Outstanding by the Ofsted Inspectors.
In 2001, the school was awarded two regional PLATO teaching awards, one for the Headteacher for School Leadership, the other for Secondary School Teacher of the year. Then in 2002, the Deputy Headteacher was the runner up in the Secondary School Teacher category receiving a special commendation. In 2003, the school's Advanced Skills Science Teacher was awarded the National Golden PLATO for Science Teacher of the year. In 2006, the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator won the regional PLATO award. This year, the subject leader for Enterprise and Technology has been short listed for the regional PLATO in Business and Enterprise.
The school has gained the prestigious Investor in People award in recognition of quality staff training, the Chartermark award for excellence and the ROQA award for quality assurance in careers education.
