About us

Ranelagh is a large three story school based in Stratford, East London. We are proud of the multi-cultural nature of our school. Our children speak a wide range of different languages. We put a lot of effort into understanding, respecting and learning from the range of cultures and religions present at our school. We provide an ‘outstanding’ curriculum finely tuned to pupils' needs and interests (OFSTED June 2007) . Ranelagh has a very strong focus on developing basic skills through the use of Creative Arts and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

What are you doing for Shineweek?

We are holding a Parents and Visitors Open Day during Shine Week. Parents and Visitors will tour the school assisted by staff and our children. They will have the opportunity to visit classes and to see the children learning. Visitors will have the chance to see varied examples of our recent work from ‘Maths Week’ (Money) and from ‘Creative Arts Week’ (Ourselves, Inside the human body) in addition to the 'normal' work that we undertake. Video from our latest drama production (Scrooge) will also be on show for all to see. In addition, visitors will be able to see how the school promotes outdoor education, with brochures written for ‘Fairplay House’, the Outdoor Education Centre run by the London Borough of Newham and pictures and video of our children kayaking and sailing at the Royal Victoria Docks Watersports Centre.
