Storm At Sea

Storm At Sea

Storm at Sea

The skies above darkened,
The waters became roughened,
No matter how strong
The hull or the storm-proof coat,
They cannot withstand
The howls of the wind
Or the blows of the ocean.

The boat shook violently
The crewmen were acting
Anything but quietly
As lightning crashed,
As thunder rumbled,
Whereas rain barely mumbled,
Whilst the hull of the ship crumbled

And suddenly it was over,
But the vessel was badly damaged,
The shore was half a mile away.
‘Would it get there?’ was the question.
The yell was given – ‘Abandon Ship!’
Splash! We hit the water.
Crunch! We hit the ground.
